The students of one of the 15th Armenian colleges of Los Angeles – Ferrahian Armenian School visited Armenia. In June 2 they met Catholicos of All Armenians in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

Paintings and Scarves created on the basis of thereof by students of National Center for Aesthetics exhibited in The Club
On June 1, the International Children’s Day the Club showcased an exhibition of paintings and scarves made on their basis. These works were created within the scope of the International Arts Education Week of UNESCO. The authors are the students of Henrik Igityan National Center for Aesthetics.

15th British Film Festival kicked off with the film “I, Daniel Blake”
15th British Film Festival kicked off in Yerevan. The festival, now the business card of the British Council, is held for the 15th time. This year seven films will be screened in Yerevan and Marzes. The festival opened with the film “I, Daniel Blake”, which is produced by one of the classics of the European cinematography Ken Loach.

Valuable artifacts of Urartu period unearthed in Gegharkunik province
Artifacts dating back to the period of the Kingdom of Van (Urartu) have recently been found in Armenia’s Gegharkunik province. The items are currently being cleaned and restored at the labs of the Service for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum Reservations.

Literary and music event dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Father Tovma Adreasyan
The literary and music event organized in the Writer’s Union was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Father Tovma Adreasyan. The priest’s keen interest to music came to life since 1984. His first music cooperation was with composer Artur Grigoryan; he wrote the lyrics of the song “Snow”. After that his works were performed by Tatevik Hovhannisyan, Erna Yuzbashyan, Zaruhi Tonikyan and others.
