French accordionist with Italian origin, composer, jazz improviser Richard Galliano is in Yerevan. We attended the joint concert of Galliano and State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia.

“Willy Weiner & Friends” at Chamber Music House
On February 27, the concert titled “Willy Weiner and Friends” was held at Komitas Chamber Music House. During the concert, the State Chamber Choir under the guidance of Harutyun Topikyan, conductor of the Choir presented a concert program composed of the works of Willy Weiner - member of Israel Composers Union.

“The Honorable Beggars” in the list of plays of the Mother Theatre
Premiere in G. Sundukyan National Academic Theatre. The famous novel of Hakob Paronyan “Honorable Beggars” was staged by Armen Elbakyan. The director make an attempt to turn the renowned work into an interactive, modern play enriched with music solutions. From now on, the “Honorable Beggars” will be included in the list of plays of the Mother Theatre.

On February 8, our Church celebrated the Feast of St. Vartan the Captain and His Companions, which has also been proclaimed as the national day of good deeds and contribution. The encyclical of Catholicos of All Armenians was heard in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to mark the centenary of the first Armenian Republic and heroic battles of May.

Commemoration concert to the 60th anniversary of Flora Martirosyan
On February 5 Flora Martirosyan would turn 60. Various artists of younger and older generation collaborating with her over different years performed at her commemoration night. The concert was attended by the first lady of RA Rita Sargsyan, the Minister of Culture Armen Amiryan.

Feast of St. Sarkis in St. Sarkis Church community
January 27 was festive in all churches bearing the name of Saint Sarkis. The Feast of St. Sarkis was celebrated in the Church of Nor Nork bearing the name of the saint. After the Divine Liturgy, Father Karapet Karapetyan offered youth blessing ceremony in the churchyard.

Our Church awards "Saint Sahak, Saint Mesrop" medal to science, education, literature and culture figures for their prominent services. On September 24, His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, awarded "The Promise" film director Terry George and producer Erik Israelyan with "Saint Sahak, Saint Mesrop" Order of Honor.

The fourth concert of the festival started with the same accuracy; and the tickets were actively sold.
