The exhibition "One Year of Eternity" was opened at the Mashtots Matenadaran within the framework of the 3rd International Congress of Armenian Studies, which presents unique manuscripts, ancient books, photographs and archival documents that have been handed over to the center over the past year. 

The Matenadaran funds have also been replenished with new exclusive donations, including the 17th-century "Zhoghovats" manuscript and valuable printed books.

The 3rd International Congress of Armenian Studies has launched at the Matenadaran named after Mashtots, which this year is dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the birth of Mkhitar Sebastatsi.

As part of the event, the agreement on the creation of a digital repository of Armenian manuscripts around the world was extended for another 2 years with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

Azhdahak Social and Environmental Center

 

In the village of Gegharkunik, Gegharkunik region, the “Azhdahak” Social and Environmental Center organized the 20-day “Ecocamp-2026”, which brought together participants aged 6 to 60 under one roof.

The camp hosted the Primate of the Gegharkunik Diocese, Bishop Isahak Poghosyan and clergy of the diocese. 

The “Young Yerkrapah” military training camp of the Yerkrapah Volunteers Union operates in the village of Tsovinar, Gegharkunik region, during the two summer months.

Around 1,500 children aged 8-15 receive military knowledge here, gain independence, and are introduced to spiritual and historical values ​​through the deacons of the Gevorgyan Theological Seminary. 

The next group of campers in the 10-day rotating program will be welcomed on July 27.

A week-long spiritual backyard camp was organized at the St. Harutyun Church in the Dvin community of the Ararat region of the Masyatsotn diocese on the initiative of Father Yeghishe Nurijanyan, which included children from Dvin and nearby settlements.

The organization of this phase was initially supported by members of the church community, and the new group program, starting on July 20, will be implemented jointly with the Round Table Foundation of the World Council of Churches.

The academic year was concluded by 67 students, 11 of whom are graduates of the seminary and have already been ordained deacons. At the end of the event, the Catholicos of All Armenians conveyed the pontifical message and blessing to those present, highly appreciating the diligent work of the inspection staff of the religious educational institutions of the Mother See. His Holiness emphasized that each academic year is a new page of success recorded in the history of the educational institution.

The karate class of the Mother See and AGBU Malatia Armenian Youth Center has opened after moving to a renovated building. Currently, 24 athletes are enrolled in the institution’s class for this sport. The coach is Karen Zhamkochyan, the official representative of the “So Kyokushin” sport in Armenia. In the center’s well-equipped and spacious gym, athletes have the opportunity to master this martial art, acquire self-defense skills, and lead a healthy lifestyle.

 

On July 1, the “Promise” project was officially launched at the Mesrop Mashtots Matenadaran, the brainchild of Armen Ghazaryan, director of the “Promise” Foundation. The goal is to create handmade silver and gold crosses from a specially developed alloy.

Each cross contains crushed particles of blessed stones collected from various holy sites. 

Part of the proceeds from the sale of the crosses will be directed through the “Promise” Foundation to implement educational, cultural and other public benefit programs.

 

300 children study in different classes at Ashtarak's Gulameryan Armenian Children's Home. They study singing, dancing, fine arts, various crafts, master musical instruments, and learn languages. The students of the Ashtarak Gulameryan Armenian Children's Home of the Mother See participate in competitions held in Armenia and abroad and win major prizes.
