“Etchmiadzin” dance from ancient times to our days
Gagik Ginosyan, prominent dance art figure, recorded one of the oldest Armenian dances “Etchmiadzin” from his grandmother Arus, in Tsughrut village of Akhaltskhe region. In the pre-Christian period the dance was devoted to the Sun. The dance has since undergone modifications and dedicated to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
