A new Eastern Armenian translation of Narekatsi's "Book of Lamentations" has been published
The "Vem" educational-cultural foundation, under the auspices of Arthur Janibekyan, has published a new Eastern Armenian translation of St. Gregory Narekatsi's "Book of Lamentations" by the diligence of Rev. Fr. Mesrop Aramyan. Father Mesrop translated the "Book" in about thirty years.

The Brotherhood members who left Holy Etchmiadzin were greeted by about 30 community leaders of the Gegharkunik region
On June 19, the participants of the Brotherhood Assembly were in the Gegharkunik Diocese. About 30 community leaders of the region were waiting for them in Hayravank. Each had to accompany a clergyman to the village he is leading, to visit needy families.

On the feast of the remembrance of Saint Gayane, the relic of the saint was taken to St. Gayane Monastery
On June 18, the Armenian Church celebrated the Feast of the Remembrance of St. Gayane and Her Companions. The procession of clergy, led by the Armenian Patriarch, moved from the Mother Cathedral to St. Gayane Monastery. In the hands of the patriarch was the relic of St. Gayane, which is taken out of the treasury every year on the day of remembrance of the Saint to bless the faithful.

The Institute of Oriental Studies of NAS RA is 50 years old: Jubilee Conference
The jubilee conference was held on June 24, the very day in 1971 when the Department of Oriental Studies was separated from the Institute of History. During its half-century activity, the institute has established extensive international contacts with world-renowned centers, has published more than 500 monographs, collections and several thousand scientific articles.

On June 18, Areg Nazaryan, a rock musician, participant in the Artsakh war, sailor of the Cilicia ship, photographer, would have turned 55 years old. His friends organized a photo exhibition and a rock concert dedicated to him at the Puppet Theater.
