The National Library has acquired an Antique Book of Hours


The Book of Hours of 1673,  published by Voskan of Yerevan, in the Marseille printing house,  replenished the fund of the antique books of the National Library.

Holy Lance “Geghard” was Brought Out

Museum exhibition of Tavush manuscripts to open in Haghartsin monastery in 2022


On November 30, an agreement was signed between the Tavush Diocese of the Armenian Church and the Mashtots Matenadaran. The copyists of Matenadaran will make copies of 12 manuscripts created in Tavush monasteries within a year. At the end of 2022, a museum exhibition will open in the Haghartsin monastery complex.

On December 2, under the chairmanship of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, the funeral service of 9 servicemen killed in the 44-day Artsakh war was held in the St. Gregory the Illuminator Mother Church in Yerevan. The Hakobavank monastery of Artsakh will be restored through open fundraising


Hakobavank, located in the Martakert region, will be restored and reopened after a long years with the support of the "ReArmenia" cooperation fundraising platform. This year marks the 200th anniversary of the Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy of Kolkata. The public lecture organized in the Great Hall of the National Library of Armenia was dedicated to the formation of the Indian-Armenian community and the activities of the Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy of Kolkata. The director of the Christian Education Center of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Pro-Archimandrite Zakaria Baghumyan gave a lecture.
