The choir of deacons performs the hymn "Blessed be the name of the Lord" from the Mankunk (Hymns of the Youths) cycle for the season of repentance; it belongs to the fourth authentic mode. The season of repentance is a time for silence, self-examination, and reflecting upon one’s own life before the Lord. The modest lyrics of this sharakan, which carry a profound spiritual message, once again forge a strong bond between us and our Creator. The hymn is interpreted by Fr. Komitas Ghevondyan.
