Pilgrimage Day of St. Hovhannes Karapet Monastery in Ararat region


At the request of the Primate of the Masyatsotn Diocese, His Grace Bishop Gevork Saroyan, the Patriarch of All Armenians established June 3 as the day of Pilgrimage of the St. Hovhannes Karapet Monastery in Ararat region. The first Pulgrimage Liturgy was celebrated this year with a large number of pilgrims. The relic of St. Hovhannes Karapet was brought from Holy Etchmiadzin. 

Meetings-discussions were organized among the students of the "Vaskenian Seminary" and University students


At the joint initiative of the Student Center of Non-State Higher Education Institutions, the World Youth Association of the Armenian Church, more than fifty students participated in three-day meetings and discussions with the students of the "Vaskenian Seminary.
 
 

Opening of an Exhibition of archival documents of the 14-20th centuries kept in Matenadaran funds


A new temporary exhibition has opened in the Matenadaran. Out of more than half a million documents kept in archival funds, documents written on parchment or wax paper on cultural, cultural, socio-economic, historical and international relations of the 14th-20th centuries, Catholicos' epics, proclamations, letters of blessing, photos, etc. were exhibited, as well as important documents related to the Armenian Apostolic Church and its diocesan sees.
 
 
 
 

Ethnographic concert in the yard of St. Anna Church in Yerevan


On the Feast of Assumption of the Virgin, after the evening service, an ethnographic song and dance festival was organized in the yard of St. Anna Church on the initiative of the Ararat Patriarchal Diocese of Kentron administrative district. The churchyard became a dance floor for the "Tarontsiner" ethnographic group, citizens and tourists.

Pentecostal Liturgy in the Holy Apostles monastery of Sevan


The Day of Pentecost is also the day of the pilgrimage of the Holy Apostles Monastery in Sevan. During the festive Liturgy, the relics of the apostles were brought from Etchmiadzin to the Holy Apostles' Monastery.

The Re-installation of the Frescoes Has Started in the Mother Cathedral


During the renovation of the Holy Etchmiadzin Cathedral, about 25 percent of the frescoes were removed; needed restoration the fresco itself, 
or the part of the temple where it was located. The frescoes are being re-installed.
